Happy New Year!!

Wow 2022 is here!  My quilty friend are you ready?  I am. What are you the most excited about?  Well I am ready to share what I am over the moon  about as we start 2022. Drum roll, please.......  We are starting our first ever Sew-a-long.  That is right a SEW-A-LONG!!   Now, what is a sew-a-long???

A sew-a-long is simply a pattern, project that we all work on together.  We are going to give several different sizes and setting options.  So truly we will have have the same units and blocks we will all have some very different quilts.  How fun is that!

Details are as follows

Tuesday will be our release date.  On Tuesday you can expect the following:

  • Video Tutorial that will be part of our Tuesday Lunch and Learn.  Will be posted on both Facebook and YouTube.  (Subscribe to our channel here:  CLICK HERE)
Note - these will be pre-recorded and will not be able on our app.
  • Handout will be available to download with cutting instructions, some general piecing instructions and placement instructions
  • There will be several different layout options that you will be able to chose from
  • It is all FREE!!
  • Facebook group for sharing and asking questions

From Tuesday - Monday you will have to construct the units/blocks before the next round is released.

One of the layouts

Now, here is the scoop, I have shown you (2) of the multiple layouts that I have worked up.  So you can make this difficult or easy.  Plus, it can be big or small.  Each week we are going to work a unit or block.  Once you have made the unit a couple of times you will definitely fell comfortable and ready to use your "good" fabric.

This is going to incredibly fun!  Stay update by subscribing to our YouTube channel (CLICK HERE) and be sure to like the CGQC 2022 Sew-A-Long Quilt Group Facebook page (CLICK HERE).

We all want to expand in 2022 - and I dont mean in the waistline - so let's expand our quilting knowledge together.

Happy Quilting my Friend!

Christy
